CIVICS TO GO!

Mission Statement:
To enlighten our community through civic education by sharing knowledge, teaching practical engagement, and bringing everything you need into one place for real-world impact.

So, what exactly is civic education? How does it work? And why should you care? Let’s break down how it affects your life and the world we live in!

Civic education is the study of how governments function, the rights and duties of citizens, and how we can participate in political processes. It's about learning how elections work, understanding how laws are made, and knowing the ways we can get involved in shaping our community and country.

For teens like you and me, civic education means becoming aware of how important it is to vote, to engage in your community, and to understand the issues that affect you. It empowers you to make informed decisions and take part in making changes that matter.

GRACE ⭑.ᐟ

Hi! I’m a founding member of the Student Voter Empowerment Club at my previous school, a region-wide organization focused on empowering young voters. I’ve been actively involved in organizing and leading voter registration drives, and last year, I participated in a competition that explored effective ways to spread civic education to peers like YOU! My experiences and hands-on involvement in these projects make me a trusted resource for sharing accurate and impactful civic education.

Hi!!! I’ve always been interested in the intricate flow of politics! To gain more experience, I’ve joined the Model United Nations club at my school as well as doing a few hours of volunteer work. I’m the historian for Black Student Union, so I’m pretty decent at taking notes and analyzing them after each meeting. Even to go so far as to research activities the club can do for upcoming meetings. During the next year, I plan on participating in Poll Working! I’ll be able to gain even more experience in the wonders of civics.
